Wi-Fi Registration for DP students
All Year 11 and 12 students are required to register their mobile learning device with the School before it can be used on the school's Wi-Fi. Please read the following instructions:
Decide what mobile device you will be using in school (see below for system requirements). If you are going to use MacBook in school you MUST install your own anti-virus software beforehand.
During the first 2 weeks of the school year, visit the IT office to register your mobile device with the school Wi-Fi.
After registration, use MYP-DP as your Wi-Fi connection.
Choice of Digital Devices
Year 11 and 12 students will be allowed to use either MacBooks as their learning tool in school. Only 1 mobile device will be allowed per student.
If you choose to use MacBook in school:
Make sure that your MacBook meets the following model requirements. Older models (Intel models) are not supported by IT Office and are incompatible with some of the software and platforms used at VSA. Recommended models:-Â
MacBook Air (2020 or later)
MacBook Pro (2020 or later)
Please install antivirus software on your MacBook before bringing it to school. We recommend using Sophos Home for Macs, which is free for home users.
The School will provide Microsoft Office 365 for you to use in school. Click here and follow the instructions to obtain your licensed copy.
Printing services and installation can be found in STUDENT ICT WIKI.
